Residents acquire a Water Wiser designation after attending a Water Wiser workshop, and this designation is valid for five years. To maintain this designation, residents are required to take a renewal course prior to expiration. The designation follows the resident (not the address), and the designation is valid even if the resident moves within Town limits. Customers will be notified when designations are expiring.

Being a Water Wiser participant exempts you from the every-third-day watering restrictions. However, you must still follow the watering schedule times. Watering is NOT permitted between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. View the Watering Schedule.
The Water Wiser placard should be easily visible from the front of the residence. If this placard becomes lost or damaged, please email us to obtain a replacement.
For new plants to establish a healthy root system, newly planted vegetation requires water more frequently than the every-third-day schedule allows. Residents can apply for a watering exemption for watering to occur on any day necessary while the exemption is in effect. Watering still needs to occur before 8 a.m. or after 8 p.m.
